We received a letter from Waterhouse Securities stating we won 250, 000 in the Shopper Sweepstakes and a check was enclosed for $4980.00 on a Wells Fargo check drawn on an OHIO bank. All we needed to do was deposit the check immediately and send a money gram for US taxes due on the winnings of $2995.00 to them immediately
Now think about this do you really think 2995.00 is all the taxes you will pay on a winnings of 250, 000?
Just to confirm this we called the bank and there was no such account and the check was a fraud. I then started to look her on canada-complaints.com and found several others received the same scam.
Please be careful and as one other report stated. If it is to good to be true then it probably is.
