They sent me a check for 3, 900 and it returned and overdrawn my account

I recieved in the mail on october 28th 2008 that i have been awarded 3, 900 dollars and i called the guy that was in the note his name was edward jones and he told me that i won a drawing and the check was a cashiers check so i thought it would automatically go through and when it bounced i got overdrawn in my banking account and i tried calling him back and the phone wasnt in service.
