I received a letter and a check in the mail. $3900! Here's what it says:
I won the Consumer's Reward Program Lottery held on September 19, 2008. My name, attached to a ticket number xxxxxxx drew the lucky number of x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x which ultimately won the lottery in the second category.
I have been approved for $39, 000. Here's a check to cover taxes. Cash it, but don't tell anyone, blah, blah.
Contact Steven Richardson or Jasmine Lewis at 1-905-598-5236, prizes must be claimed by November 5, 2008.
So I called the number, the mailbox was full. Couldn't even leave a message. Looked up the bank on the internet, called them, they couldn't find anything, but since it was a cashiers check, they transferred me to them, and they couldn't find anything either. I am afraid to take it to the bank. So I'm thinking it's not real. Anybody got any info about this?
