I got home today, checked my mail and to my surprise and amazement, I found a letter with an enclosed check in the amount of $3950.00. I thought, wow, now we can pay off some bills. After closer examination of the letter, I decided to check out these people on line. Surprise, surprise, turns out there have been several reports filed against J C Financial Group.
The letter that came along with the check, stated that the check was to pay the applicable tax, on the $39, 000.00 prize that I had won, and that I should contact one of their agents, Cyristal Walsh or George Cruz at 1-905-598-6547 as soon as I received the notification. The phone number takes you to a voice mailbox that is full, big surprise.
The "Consumer's Reward Program Lottery" is nothing more than a SCAM, and the people behind it should be behind bars. With the economy in the state it is in at this point in time, to get one's hopes up just to smash them against the rocks is nothing short of criminal and as with all criminals, these people need to be stopped!!
Please beware, if you receive one of these letters and checks, do not fall for it. Contact either you local authorities or the Better Business Bureau, to find out what you can do to help put a stop to this before any more innocent victims take a fall.
