I can attest personally to same tactics as expressed in previous complaints against gallerie concorde. In the late 90's, gallerie concorde went on a cold calling campaign and one of their favorite target was pharmacies. I assume it was partly to do with our easy accessability via phone and our incomes allow us to invest in such things as art as a diversification strategy? I had 2 different brokers namely Boaz Perecowicz and Mitchell Field. The stories are very similar to those already posted regarding amazing appreciation potential, fire sales, and once in a lifetime oppurtunities. These stories are untrue and when you call them to sell a piece, you get the runaround as previously described. I purchased 2 Begin pieces and 2 Max pieces, all of which I still own. Hopefully anyone looking to purchase art from this company will find this link and will not purchase overpriced art from overzealous salespeople that they never intend to sell at a later date. Any info on class action/ lawsuits much apprecieated? Thank you.
