I had been looking for a part time job at home and posted my resume online. I got a letter with a check for 2875.00 telling me that I had been selected as a secret shopper. I cant believe I even went for this considering I had shopping.
I called the phone number and an Indian girl answered and I could barely understand her. She told me to deposit the check and call back when the check had cleared. The letter detailed my assignments and they were going to pay me 300.00 for my services. I called back when the check cleared and they gave me the information to send them a money gram. I was to send 2250.00 to Anita Gibson. I did this and called them with the reference number.
Two days later I noticed that my checking account was significantly overdrawn. I called my bank to find out what had happened and they said there was something wrong with the check I received from this company.
I did my own research online about this company and found that others had been scammed just like I was.
