I received a letter from this company, stating that I was the sole claimant for 9000. I had seven days to respond with the winning ticket to claim my cheque either in one full payment or 3 installments over the next 3 months.
To receive my prize, I had to complete an Official Claim Release Form, inclusive of 19.95 for processing/delivery fee by either:
cash, cheque, postal order, visa, or mastercard.
I thought this was too good to be true, and slightly confused as to why I would have to pay for the courier - if a company can afford to pay out a 9000 cash reward, surely a 19.95 courier fee is not going to be too much of a financial outlay.
I thought I would contact them, no telephone number, no email address, and guess what, no web site!!
I checked the address, and there are over 100 companies listed to that sole address, obviously the equivalent to a PO box in the UK.
This is an extremely underhand tactic to gain personal information ie. credit card details, and surely against the law!!
