Ripoff sent fradulent check

I recieved a letter from malina payment systems that stated I was the winner of unclaimed prize money in the amount of $75, 000.00. Included with the letter was a check for $2, 980.00. The letter stated the check was to cover administrative payment and clearance fees.

The letter looked official however I was skeptical because I did not remeber entering a sweepstakes.

I called a legal office who informed me that it was fradulant. This company asks people to deposit the chek and then to send back a fee in order to get the rest of the prize money. The check never clears and the depositer is out all that money.
