Ripoff, this may be old news to some, however this scam from Prosperica is obviously being put to a stop. I just wanted to add my name to list. They too got me for $259.00 and I was also contacted via my cell number. *UPDATE ..Prosperica BUSTED!

I too was contacted via my cell phone while deployed with the USAFR. Thinking that it was a card I had previously applied for on line, I did not pay close attention to the name of the company. I did write down numbers etc and the name of the company. All numbers they provided were of coarse invalid. Now it being several weeks later and I am now at my home station, I began to wonder why I had not heard from them. They did charge my checking account $249.00 on Sept. 6th but alas no word or credit card came in the mail, nor did any confirmation via the internet email. So I did a google search and the rest of the story is probably what everyone else has gone thru. My bank is cooperating with me.
