I received a call in early Feb 07 from Executive Solutions stating that I had signed up for their "Virtual Listing" service and I owed nearly $500 to cover the listing for the previous year. I stated I had no recollection of ever signing up for the service and demanded that some proof be given other than the statement, "I talked to you on 6 Dec 06 about this". I stated that I never received such a call and that a whole year listing based on a call in December was ridiculous. The caller promised to provide the information but needed to also verify my billing address - which I did.
I recieved the bill and have had a number of follow up calls asking for immediate payment, but I never received any confirmation of signing up. Finally, they played back my confirmation of the billing address call and stating that was their confirmation. The person on the phone became very aggressive and threatened to take action to collect their payment.
The person also stated that all I had to do was refuse the service and I, according to them, had not. I stated that the call prior to the billing confirmation included me refusing it many times, but the caller continued to cut me off and demand payment. I have refused.
