On July 2/07, I ordered a Barney Miller DVD Collection from tvboxset.com (Garcia Media Group or SXR CA). On the same day they sent me an e-mail with a confirmation number and one with a notification message that my order had been processed and would be delivered between July 18 - 21.
On July 5/07 I received two e-mails--one from SXR CA and one from Canada Post (at the request of DVD Shows Online Inc.) providing me with a tracking number.
On July 26 I called Canada Post since the product had not arrived and gave them my tracking number. They responded that the parcel had not yet arrived at their office and that it was their experience that when SXR CA printed the labels for their parcels, they usually sent an e-mail to the customer and to them, saying that the order was completed and shipped, even though it had not been physically shipped yet.
I sent tvboxset an e-mail and then another one on July 31 inquiring about my order, without response from them.
On Aug. 2, I called my credit card company and informed them that SXR CA had received my order for the Barney Miller DVDs, had charged my account for $141.10 (Can.) and had not yet delivered, and they credited my account with the $141.10 that SXR CA had charged.
So, I found a phone number for SXR and on Aug. 2 cancelled my order by phone, directly with their credit dept. Since then, I have received 3 other e-mails from them where they make more excuses for not having sent the merchandise--totally ignoring that I cancelled the order and contacted my credit card company.
Following is the e-mail I finally sent to them:
Since my husband and I spoke over the phone with Marta, from your Credit Department, on Aug. 2/07, and cancelled our order #16967, placed on July 2/07, which was never received, you have sent three more e-mails. What part of this cancellation did you not understand? We informed you that we had already contacted our Credit Card company to ask for a reversal of your charge!
Following is a summary of the three e-mails you have sent since Aug. 3/07:
Aug. 3 e-mail responding to three e-mails we had sent you prior to Aug. 3 in which you blamed Canada Post for the delay of not only our parcel, but others, as well.
Aug. 11 e-mail telling us "your order has been shipped and will arrive the following days:
Wed., July 18-Sat. July 21"
Does this make sense at all, that on August 11 you are sending this message! This is nothing, but a fraud!
On August 17/07 you sent another e-mail saying: "Order numbers 14811-17034 were all returned to us and had to be reshipped. This was done last week and an e-mail was sent out to all of you then" Do you mean to say you have 2, 223 orders returned to you with that many customers wondering about their orders? Further in the same e-mail you say: "Orders 17035-23021" have been delayed due to this problem explained above." There are another 5, 986 orders, not filled yet? You continue to say: "Again, many or most of you getting this email will already have your product. For the few that don't have it, we thank you for your patience and also assure that it's on the way"
Well, our "order" need not be "on the way" because we ordered the Barnie Miller DVDs, you charged us, but you didn't deliver and because of that we had your charge reversed by our Credit Card company. This order has been cancelled since August 2/07!!!
The internet has canada-complaints.com from other unsatisfied customers against your company, Garcia Media Group or SXR CA, so we know we are not the only ones. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY MORE MAIL. If you do, this will be considered harassment, and strong measures will have to be taken.
I am filing this report to help other possible customers not be deceived by this company! Stay away from them!
