I attended a Robert Allen seminar in VANCOUVER b.c on November 3, 2008.
The presenter Karl Noons basically explained to our group how easy it was to find foreclosure deals by using unconventional methods. I signed up, paying my full tuition of $3770.
Karl Noons then emailed me a VERY conventional list of real estate resources, which were for the most part of little or no use as they were for the U.S., they were pay sites (I just paid $3770) or they just had nothing at all to do with finding foreclosure deals. I brought this up with Karl who would not address my concerns, calling me negative and just not a hard worker. He refused any further dialogue with me. Hmm thats interesting because I made my first million in 5 years by being positive and working hard.
The contractual agreement outlined a payment policy of reimbursment within 10 days if the contract was cancelled. I cancelled on the 3rd day, after talking to TED in Florida on the phone. Ted proceeded to treat me like some sort of fool calling me"stupid and amazingly shortsighted". In general TED was just a complete waste of time talking to. He even informed me that any fax confirmation that I sent him "would go straight in the garbage can".
After a little arm twisting, I managed to get hold of one Karen Church who did acknowledge my contract cancellation. She did apologize for my being frustrated, but did not address at all the fact that one of her staff treated me like a piece of dirt for cancelling a contract that 1) I had every right to do and 2) I no longer felt good about after my dealings with Karl Noons.
Since then I have not received my reimbursement as per contract. Any individuals that I contact at the Robert Allen institute merely assure me "that they are looking into the matter."
Needless to say, I strongly advise anyone considering attending a Robert Allen seminar, to strongly consider otherwise as my strong perception and experience with these people indicate SCAM in capital letters.
Conduct your own research on the web and see for yourself. The things that this outfit has been called to account for are staggering in their breadth and scope. If even half of them are true, that is enough to realize that this is not an organization that you want to get involved with.
