On august 22, 2007 i recieved a letter from nation wide claim centre, it said i won 450, 00.00$. in it was a check made out to me for 4, 975.00$ i was instructed to call a claim agent, Mary Johnson, or Sean Hamilton, which i did. i gave sean the claim number that was on my letter, and he said fine, told me to go to the bank, deposit the check, and when i did to call him back. then i would send him a money gram for 3, 175.00$ which would be used for non resident government service tax. there was a tax agents name, steven bowman, 5290 godlad ave, toronto, ontario, canada, b4n 2e9. also at the bottom of the letter, was another name, sam garfield, (promotions Manager}.
i almost fell for it. the check looked real, it had stifel, nicolas&company on it, there address is 122 state street, binghamton, new york, 13901, and the check had jp morgan chase bank n.a. New York. It looked very real. i did take the check to the bank, and showed it to one of the gals there, and she said she thouoght it was a scam, so i said okay, and left. i got on the computer, and went to the bank site, and then some how seen the rip off site, and read where a man from pennsylvania, got the same exact letter, with the same people named as a claim agent. and so now im here telling you.
