RE: Award Notification- Final Notice
I recieved a letter and check for $3975.00. Stating I had a won $98, 000. In a sweepstakes online drawing. They give a claim ticket number 516-236-195. When I call the company and spoke with a Frank Andretti. He then gives my a claim number xyj2422###. I am to deposit this offical check at my bank and to keep my winnings confidential. once the check is cleared you are to call them back at 416-830-1459 and their accountant will give information as to how to file the international taxes and clearance fees. I took the letter and the check to my bank.
The branch manager put a hold on the check and had the bank securities investigate the bank the check was drawen from. Well it's a real bank but there are no funds and THIS IS A SCAM. They get your personnal information and take everything from you. I was glad I had smarts to have my bank check this out for me.
I then called this Mr. Frank Andretti and told him thank you anyways, your company is a scam. Of course he will tell no and that he would let you speak with his supervisor, but that he is in a meeting. Do not fall for this. I was also glad that I had googled this company and found out there was a rip off alert on this company. Hense the old saying" If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is".
