In early August 2004 I contacted Rustic Kennels/Angela Canning via e-mail re: the sale of one adult female Cane Corso which was posted on her website. We agreed on the purchase price of $1000.00 and 2 pick puppies back to Angela from said dog's next litter, at which time said dog's registration would be signed over to me. I was given the dog, her Championship papers, and her PennHip scores, as well as some photos of pups from past litters. The transaction went smoothly with no worries or concerns by either party.
This is proof that Angela Canning of Rustic Kennels is using fake PennHIP Scores. This image is of an orginial PennHIP document. Penn-Hip uses a specific san-sarif face font on all their reports., they all look the same.
A couple of weeks later my husband and I were at a dog show where we met a woman who owned a male, who was a son of the female we just purchased. The woman owning the male informed us that she had never recieved her papers for him from Angela. A red flag went up in our heads so we went ahead and did a little research and found that this female had had 4 litters of pups and not one of them had any papers. So how was she a Champion? Well, Canadian Shows aren't regulated as they are here in the States so Angela had shown this female "papers pending" so she doesn't have ANY legit papers.
I contacted Angela and told her that this female would not be bred until I recieved an actual copy of her papers. Angela became quite upset and angry and went on to say that it could take over a year to get that to me. I told her then we'll just have to wait. Being irrate she said she would post on her website that I stole the dog. I told her that she didn't scare me and to go right ahead. I hadn't done anything wrong. Well, she did. She posted my name, address, and phone number! We spoke with the local police, showed them our contract and told them of our concerns and they agreed. This dog was and is ours. Angela sold her and we bought her. We own her.
PLEASE NOTICE SOME DISTINCT DIFFERENCES IN THE IMAGES... THE FONT IN THE SAMPLE IS DIFFERENT THAN THE FONT ON ARAGORNS. CLOSE BUT DIFFERENT. NOTICE THE DOGS NAME IN THE SAMPLE IS BOLD IN ARAGORNS IT IS NOT. ALSO NOTICE THE ARROWS IN THE IMAGES ARE DIFFERENT AND THIER IS NO NUMBER ABOVE THE PERCENTILES BOX IN ARAGORNS . IN THE TABLES FOR THE LEFT AND RIGHT HIPS IN THE SAMPLE THE WORD AND NUMBERS ARE CENTERED IN EACH INDIVIDUAL BOX IN ARAGORN THE ARE JUSTIFIED CENTER BUT THEY ARE ON THE LINE. IT ALSO APPEARS THAT THE ARROW INFRONT OF TIGHTER IS HAND WRITTEN LAST TIME I LOOKED AT ANY COMPUTER OR TYPEWRITER THE SIDE OF THE POINT OF THE ARROWS ARE THE SAME LENGHT.
A couple of weeks later Angela decides to offer our money back but because of all the slanderous lies, and the distress and anger we felt and had been through, we told her it was just too late. She had gone too far.
We then called PennHip to verify that this certificate, that was given to us from Angela, for the dog. We were informed that this was a forged document, it was not there format or typeset, and they have absolutly no record of this dog having a PennHip test done! My attorney has written to her with no prevail. PennHip is now ivestigating not only this report, but other hip scores that have been listed on her site. The unfortunate thing is that she lives in Canada, which as you know, is a different country, and to press charges and take court action will take a lot of money and a lot of time. I'm sure Angela is aware of this and that's why this continues to go on. No one has taken this to the courts. It's just a matter of time.
I would just like people to know about this breeder and to please, please remember that things aren't always as they appear.

If I had read all of this before I bought Fila I would have thanked my lucky stars
She has a beautiful web site with a very proffesional appearance but don't be fooled! Ask to see proof and verify.
