This videographer was recommended to us by friends for our wedding video.
We had our wedding on April 13, 2008 - just over a year ago. Getting our video from Peter Mykusz the videographer in the first place was frustrating, stressful, and a challenge. Getting ahold of him was difficult, he didn't return messages, and when we did get ahold of him, he assured us that he would have our video to us the following week (this happened several times). Because he didn't call us the following week, we called him, but he wasn't answering his phone and wasn't returning messages. This went on for months. At one point he had us scared that he lost the video in a fire (he told us that it might have gotten lost in a fire).
When we finally did get our wedding video, he told us that the last 10 minutes was fuzzy because the heads needed to be cleaned, and that he would do that and retransfer it. (It was actually a little more than halfway through that the video went completely fuzzy - way more than the last 10 minutes). We tried to follow up with him, but getting ahold of him is again impossible. The one time he did answer the phone several weeks ago, he told me that he was meeting with his editor that weekend and that he would have it on Monday. I asked if I should follow up with him on Monday and he said yes. So I called, but his voice mail picked up, I left another voice mail message, and never heard back from him. I am now wondering - when he told me he would have it on Monday, did he think it was someone else calling and he was referring to someone else's video, or was he lying to appease me at the time? I don't understand why he doesn't return phone calls or emails - however busy he is, I'm sure he had 2 minutes in the last 8 months that he could have picked up the phone to call. If he has time to read his email, he has time to call us and let us know what the story is. He has told me that he really is a nice guy. However not calling us back regarding our WEDDING VIDEO is inconsiderate, rude, and called being a schmuck. (I don't like to call people names, but given the situation, I think it is called for).
I've since called a few times. I haven't been harassing him (my emails to him have been polite and patient, and weeks apart, and my phone calls have been every few weeks or so) but I am getting increasingly frustrated. This has really gotten ridiculous. I asked him to please call me back and let me know what is going on - whether the original has exploded or not, JUST PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON! I shouldn't have to keep calling in hopes that I'll eventually reach him in person (and when I do he'll just tell me that he'll have it the following week and then disappear again), and I don't want to keep calling him. I'm seriously wondering WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS GUY???!!!
