Langley Hyundai They make a mistake and the Consumer's Pay for it!

I recently purchased a used vehicle on October 29, 2007 at Langley Hyundai. It is a F-150 2004 Ford model. The purchase price was 18, 800 (plus interest from the financing company). I had put a deposit down of $5000.00 and was to finance the rest the total of the whole truck and taxes was 27, 497.52. Everything was approved that evening by Wells Fargo and signed and sealed. I got the truck that night and the papers and insurance. weeks later I got a call from the dealership that they had made a mistake and was not approved from Wells Fargo with a snafu. Since I have another auto loan with them they decided that I must either pay that loan off first they would finance the whole balance of the truck then. However the dealership did not read the fine print of the deal with Wells Fargo and they pulled the loan. Not our mistake, as we never got to see what the fine print was we just know we were approved. Wells Fargo had called us prior a week before saying everything was okay. Now the dealership made the mistake, as we had done nothing wrong or misrepresent anything, as they had known we had a loan out with Wells Fargo for our other vehicle everything was mentioned up front before getting approved for the truck (so automatically they just went with Wells Fargo for the financing). The dealership opened a separate loan on the truck instead of reading the conditions before approval and just handed it over. Well the dealership informed us they would try and get us new financing which was fine except that no other institution would finance us even with money down. We have been amicable about it but it seems so unfair since they made this mistake in the first place and then ding my credit to boot not once but several times. I have been trying to re-build my credit for sometime now and all the work I put into it has now gone down the drain again. They have asked me to give the truck back (with no mention of my deposit I might add) and I have spoken to my lawyer and he has told me not to surrender the truck under no circumstances because legally it is mine. I still have possession of the truck. They will not do in house financing either since no financial institution will touch me. I am not saying I want a truck for free I am willing to be fair and now they have put me on the spot. The lady who signed off on the truck can lose her job and also have to pay the difference on the truck even though this mistake is hers in the first place (I do not want her to lose her job however the dealership has now ruined my credit rating to boot with their mistake). It is a low down tactic and downright cowardly of the company to appeal like this to get the truck back. Then early in the morning after a week of our last conversation with this person she says she will call back and never did. Instead we wake up to find they have repoed the car on false grounds. Then the bailiffs come in to find out why they have been lied to by the company as they do not know all the facts. They sing like a bunch of canaries and state what the company has been doing and we find out also our rights under the privacy act has also been violated (another dealership also was involved in this mess). They made no other contract and no way of paying this truck off and they never bothered to make the mistake right under the contract agreement (they breached it in so many ways in my opinion). We had no body to pay the payments to and no idea what was going on until they repoed the truck. So the VSA (Vechile Sales Authority) gets all our deposit back the same day they repo it. We hand in the keys but still have the title and registration of the truck in all the truck is still ours except we hold ownership of the truck but don't have the truck. All we did was want to go purchase a truck and in the end we had to dish money out of our pockets for ICBC, our credit is ruined again, we lost our work truck and our privacy violated. My husband is now seeking a laywer to see if he has a case. As long as we hold the title and registration of the truck they cannot sell it to anybody else until hubby signs it over to them. Cold day in hell that is going to happen until we are forced too. I hope someone has a similar story and could give me some insight and what happened it would greatly help us. Thank-you
