South London Infiniti Nissan
Empty promises ripoff

Simply I bought a lemon. My 2004 Nissan Titan is the worst vehical I have ever owned. My dealer admits it by saying I got what they call an early prodoction vehical. This thing spent more time in the dealers lot waiting to be fixed then it did in my own driveway. Everything from the dealer physical damaging it three different times to having 4 sets of brakes put on in 8 months to squeeks and rattles and windows that don't roll down proper. The list goes on.

The answer I got from customer service was "thats what the warranty is for". The fact the dealer had it more than me seemed of no matter to Nissan Canada.

I finally get to speak to the owner/GM (Mark) of the dealer and he explains the whole early production mumbo jumbo I have heard before but OFFERS a solution. He tells me that me will get me out of my truck and into a new one. Sounds great. Here's were the mess starts.

He says we can get Nissan to take the truck back due to the excessive problems with it, but they will not listen to him and that I need to be the one to keep complaining to customer service. He said that if they will not take it back there is a mediation company that steps in for these situations (can't remember the name of it). So of course at the advice of the owner of the dealer I'm all over c/s and they flat out tell me "we build them we don't by them". I never heard talk of this mediation company again.

The owner (Mark), who I had to just show up at the dealer to see because he couldn't find the time to call me back on several attempts. First gives me the speach that he will talk to the district manager bla bla bla and finally comes back after three months and " sorry I can't do anything for you".

This is when I have to play all the cards I have and after reviewing my bill of sale I have to show him that the signature on the LEGAL DOCUMENT is not even mine. Of course he asks me how I know and I have to tell him that first of all the salesman was kind enough to tell me and secondly you can clearly see the carbon copy trace marks.

You see I live out of town and after I made my deal on the truck the finance guy forgot to carry the one or something and the deal had to be redone. That wasn't important enough to call me back in so the dealer took it upon themselves to sign for me. I'm pretty sure that's ILLEGAL but I'm not a lawyer.

Mark (the owner), is now ready to help me so he says. He calls me days later with a great deal that as it turns out is going to cost me close to $8, 000.00. Wow how could I refuse that. My residual was going up $4, 000 ruffly and my monthy was going up almost $100.He was not willing in any way to take responsibilty for the product he sold. I had to decline and decide to take another route and go through Nissan Finance and after finally talking to the person in charge, all she told me is that Nissan Finance receives a fax with my name on it and thats all they need. Even after I e-mailed her a copy of my bill, she said it was unclear and basically have a nice day.

So basically I'm stuck with a dud and I'm not real sure if a lawyer is worth it. But simple facts remain, and thats, I never asked for anything. A replacment vehical was OFFERED to me (of course at an $8, 000 expence to me). I got not help for my dealer, customer service, or the finance dept, when I ask to talk to the district manager I was told "NO".

Buyers beware South London could rip you off too, God only knows what else my name could end up on.

Bad dealer, Bad service, Bad vehicle.
