While attending a school in Edmonton, my son required some minor & routine service be done to his 91 Toyota Camry. He needed an oil change, a new battery, and some of his dash components were not working - the heater fan, clock and power windows. Dynamotive took advantage of his youthful inexperience and the fact that his father was paying the bill from 500 miles away! They found the problem with the dash components - 2 blown fuses - and charged him $120 labour!!

Naturally I called the service manager, whom I believe is Mark BRITTON, to discuss the matter. To my disbelief, he stood behind the ridiculous charge claiming the technician had to wiggle some wires and check the wires between the door. Any mechanic presented with that problem would check the fuse box first, come on!! The fact the battery was dead and he had to get a boost would have been a clue too! It was a blatant ripoff and the manager could care less. The out-of-province licence plate on the car was his green light to take my son to the cleaners.

Another indicator of his intent to rip off my son was charging $120 for the battery and $20 to install it!!! I have never in my life heard of an installation charge when you purchase a battery!?

Anyhow, I post this message for the information of any others considering Dynamotive Auto. I know an honest mechanic is hard to find and you may want to pass on these people.
