We were overcharged by JMR movers two hours for our move, or $180.00. JMR movers also damaged furniture, ashed their cigarettes on our book shelf, left cigarette butts all over our property, and took two and a half hours to arrive at the final destination, which is a 40 minute car ride. When I informed the JMR movers' office the next day that we were charged an extra two hours, for the drivers lunch and whatever else they were doing, the JMR movers' office informed us that they have had one of the drivers in their employ for a long time and had never had any complaints about him before. Basically the JMR mover management took their mover's word over ours, even when we had witnesses to corroborate.
They took advantage of us and overcharged us for work not performed. It makes me wonder how many othert people have been overcharged or bullied by JMR movers. When we explained to JMR movers the damage to our antique desk, the guy had the nerve to insinuate I was lying and was only reporting the damage to the desk because I wanted compensation for being overcharged two hours of labour.
I implore anyone reading this not use JMR movers. JMR movers are are dishonest. JMR movers are rude. JMR movers are unprofessional, and JMR movers are liars. Please DONOT USE JMR MOVERS!!!
