Car Canada
Fraudulent Business Practices

I purchased a 2008 low mileage Hyundai Santa Fe GL from Car Canada. As a next to new vehicle I purchased with it an extended warranty and complete rust proofing, paint sealant and scotch guarding package for the interior. When I picked up the vehicle they failed to detail the vehicle prior to sealing in the dirt. They failed to inform me ahead of time that there was only one key and key fob, and refused to supply me a second set. They advertised the vehicle as a LIMITED edition, yet it was not - they were not willing to adjust the price nor compensate me for the misleading advertising on their website. The vehicle was brought back in for a full detailing, re-treatment of the seat fabric, etc. What a mistake on my part because the situation went from bad to worse.

Upon pickup and routine inspection of the engine area under the hood to see if the engine shampoo was done, I noticed a deep scratch on the passenger-side 'A' Pillar by the windshield, which was down to the metal. When the service rep. had one of the mechanics on duty have a look at it, the mechanic stated that "this might have happened when we changed the windshield? " Then he immediately corrected himself. My vehicle was kept overnight to repair the 'A' pillar, and it wasn't until a day later that I started to notice that the windshield was indeed changed. All the while Car Canada admits no blame and surprisingly has no records indicating the windshield's been changed out. My theory is that when the car was being detailed with the polisher the cloth pad came off and the wheel damaged the 'A' Pillar and tore across the windshield damaging or even breaking it? Once again Car Canada refuses to admit to any of this nor accepts blame. They also refuse to compensate me.

Today as a result of all of this - I have a non-factory non-Hyundai windshield, which aside from not even being installed properly in the first place, it's also warped along the edges resulting in distorted drivers vision, and a non-factory paint job. I just hope my vehicle does rust in the years ahead.

I will never deal with Car Canada again, my advise is neither should you.
