As a former employee (i quit after nothing was done), i wish to inform the public of the disgusting conditions the food they ate was in. I would also like to point out that the management and owners turn a blind eye to these.
1) Many food items were stored in formally hazardous containers, such as soup is stored in bucket that once contained a hazardous commercial cleaner. On many occasions.
2) There is raw sewage leaking from the ceiling in the kitchen which is under the restrooms. This Brown liquid drips on to food prep areas, and on trays used to cook items in.
3) Spoiled food was served to customers by the so called "chef" on many occasions.
4) Spoiled vegetables were reboiled and seasoned and served to customers.
*a long time cook that refused to serve spoiled food was terminated. without notice.
5) seafood items such as spoiled salmon and shrimp was served.
* one customer was severely ill and told management they would call the food inspector. the inspector came the next day but staff had time to get rid of all spoiled food.
6) nothing is labeled, no date are and any products in fridges and freezers. cross contamination occurred almost on a daily basis.
Regarding Owner and management:
> Staff are not paid overtime.
> Bar staff are forced to sign out at 2 am and MUST continue to finish their work without pay. ( Bar staff stays until 3 - 4 am cleaning up.)
> Management is aware of all the complaints of food quality and do nothing to ensure better quality.
> cheap food products are demanded by owner while he charges $30 per plate of garbage.
> management fires staff without notice as required by law.
> Management tells other staff of pending firing without consent of that person as required by law.
> Patrons and staff still allowed to smoke on covered balcony regardless of smoking ban.
> Cooks allowed to smoke inside near Kitchen.
> There is Asbestos within the building.
> Staff made to work overtime without pay.
> Because they could not fire a newly pregnant server who was not yet showing they reduced her hours forcing her to quit. so they could to avoid maternity leave.
>Stat Holidays are not paid unless staff complains.
