Credit card Typo

I got a HBC Mastercard (outsourced to GE Money) bill with my last name incorrect and I mean COMPLETELY wrong so I called to rectify, they stated that they would have to ask some security questions and wanted me to chose which banking institution I used. They gave me four choices, none of which was correct so I stated that I did not bank at any of those locations. The reply was that I MUST chose one to proceed with the call. I refused and was told that my account was frozen for 30 days. So I wrote and letter and received a response "When we have completed our review of your account, we will send you a written response with the actions taken on your account" I waited four months and no letter. I called the number on the letter and was told that THEY DID NOT SEND THAT LETTER! When I quoted that I was waiting the written response, I was told that it wasn't them that sent the letter and that my account was still "on hold" pending the security questions... for four months? I asked how to contact the letter sender, they said I could not because my account was frozen. And then in the next breath the supervisor stated that it is very common to accidentally type over persons name on a credit card account statement and it happens all the time... DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. If offered credit through GE money... it would be in your best interest to refuse.
