Credit card Typo

I got a HBC Mastercard (outsourced to GE Money) bill with my last name incorrect and I mean COMPLETELY wrong so I called to rectify, they stated that they would have to ask some security questions and wanted me to chose which banking institution I used. They gave me four choices, none of which was correct so I stated that I did not bank at any of those locations. The reply was that I MUST chose one to proceed with the call. I refused and was told that my account was frozen for 30 days. So I wrote and letter and received a response "When we have completed our review of your account, we will send you a written response with the actions taken on your account" I waited four months and no letter. I called the number on the letter and was told that THEY DID NOT SEND THAT LETTER! When I quoted that I was waiting the written response, I was told that it wasn't them that sent the letter and that my account was still "on hold" pending the security questions...for four months? I asked how to contact the letter sender, they said I could not because my account was frozen. And then in the next breath the supervisor stated that it is very common to accidentally type over persons name on a credit card account statement and it happens all the time...DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. If offered credit through GE would be in your best interest to refuse.
