CHAIN-STORES GIVEBACK PROMO, received check for 2, 490 promising 17, 990 total

I received a letter and a check for 2490 stating that a receipt from a grocery store was drawn and I won. The 2490 was an installment payment and due to security, there is a temp. hold until i contact them by phone before depositing the check. The final payment will be sent via MoneyGram transfer. I will be required to to a transfer verification before releasing final payment.

It sounds like they want to get access to my bank account.

I have seen a couple other fraud reports like mine as well.
