Charging Back Interest as they are claiming the final payment was late

I received an invoice stating that I owed back interest on a one year interest free loan as Citi Financial claims that my payment was received one day late. I mailed a chq in adequate time to be received by June 03, which was the deadline. The chq cleared my bank June 04, which I have proven to them.
Citi Financial will not waive the amt that they claim is still owed on this account.
