Capital Finance Services screwed me too! I was approved for a $10 000.00 loan and in turn, had to send them a deposit of $1000.00.
I did research on them before sending them my money, with the BBB, Ontario Gov't business site, I even took my loan contract to a notary to verify it's legitimacy. I was fully duped.
I was, however, able to reach them via both email and phone. And they came up with a convincing of story as to why I had yet to receive my loan. Their power was down during the Toronto snow storm.
After the delay, I had contacted both Mr. Taylor and CS on different days, and they were able to read me the exact notes on my file, word for word. The stories were the same. Okay, I'll buy the snow storm story then. So due to the delay they were going to send me my loan amount plus my deposit (which they were supposed to hold for 3 months) and apologized for the delay. Each one telling me exactly the same thing.
That was the last time I heard from them and that was Decemeber 20/2007. I had been trying to get a hold of them last Monday and was just sent directly to voice mail.By Thursday, their message box was full. And now this morning, all numbers are out of service.
My dealings were with a Gregory Taylor, Senior Financial Advisor for Capital Finance Services, (416) 203-1891 as well as with Customer Service (416) 203-1757. But I'm sure the next time these people pop up it will be under a different alias all together. Beware!
Since this incident I can still go directly to their website but any search results returned previously on them, are no longer out there. Infact, what I find now, after the fact, is nothing but negative. Sure wish I had found the negative first.
