HARRASSMENT/ REFUSES TO GIVE INFORMATION/MAKES THREATS/INFRINGES UPON GOVERNMENT STANDARDS

I was contacted in late November 29th, 2006 by a 'representative' from via voicemail stating that it is 'imperative' that I contact Mr Valadao (as he leaves the message, it sounds like he is in a call centre, with all the background noise) in regards to an 'urgent' matter - please call 416-905-4151 ext 3482 quoting reference #00000000.

Not knowing what it was, I called back the number and I reached Mr V's answering machine, I left a quick message to call me back. After an hour, I called again and made contact with Mr V, who told me that I owed $3000 to Enbridge Gas and wanted payment. I asked him what the $3000 pertained to, and he answered back that is was for Enbridge Gas and that's it. I told him that I would like to know what it is, he said that I should know since 'us' humans are smart animals. Since Mr V is a total dead end, I asked for the Enbridge info and said that I was going to call them.

I had the Info and I called Enbridge and told them my situation and that they would look into it for me, I waited on the phone for 20 mins and the girl (Caroline) came back on the line and said that she couldn't find anything and that she would call me back. Caroline took down my contact information and the call ended.

On December 4th 2006 I received 2 voice messages from Mr Valadeo at MJR, the first one was left at 1:15pm and the 2nd at 1:30pm - he left the same scripted repsonse that it was imperative for me to call and it's urgent. I called back Mr V at 2pm and he wanted to know when I will be sending the money, I reminded him of the situation and the conversation that we had last week in regards to me calling Enbridge.

I also told him that I did call and that they were going to look into it and contact me back. Mr Valadeo then called me a 'liar' and said that I was 'stalling the enevitable'. He also said that I run from my responsibilities in life and that I show 'owe' up. Tough to talk over the phone!!!

I asked him then for clarication in regards to this amount of $3000, he said that it stems from a debt 2 years ago. Again, I draw a blank. He said that I am 'playing games' and that he is going to take me to court. How can Mr V take me to court if he can't explain anything to me in regards to this??? duh!

I was tired of the insults and I hung up. Well he called back at 2:31pm asking for my address, so that he can send a bailiff to serve me papers. I said no, and told him to leave me alone. He said that he is going to call me everyday.

I have since talked to Enbridge and the $3000 is a debt that I thought was paid out when my ex wife and I sold a house of ours back in 2001 - this is over 5 years old!!! Not 2 years and stems from our house in toronto, Mr Valadeo doesnt have any of this information, but expected me to pay $3000???

Enbridge told me that I can pay them directly - since then (Dec 4th) I have received phone calls from Mr Valadeo, everyday so far. Leaving me the same message (from the call centre) I have documented everything and I have now issued a complaint with consumers protection.
