Hilton hotel, niagara falls canada
On Oct. 12th to the 13th my husband and I stayed overnite at the hotel and then planned on shopping over the border the next day. We retired to our room around 10p.m. and from around 10:30 till about 5 a.m. never had one minute of sleep. There was a party going on next door and in the room above us. I phoned the desk about 7 times during the night and each time they said they were sending security. I did hear security one time and the man began talking with the party people about other things, not about the noise. We complained on checkout and she apologized and said they would take100.00 off our bill. The total bill was 207.64. I complained and said why should I pay for something that I did not get. It totally ruined our weekend as we were so tired we needed to go home and not shopping to get some sleep. They would not do any more for us. I paid the bill and upon arriving home called head office and complained. They said they were sending me a cheque for the other $107.64 in the mail and to this day I have never received it. I cannot remember whom I talked to to follow up on this. I really do think they should have credited us the total bill. We are not hurting for money but why should we pay for a room which we could not sleep in all nite. I guess we should have left in the middle of the nite but we kept waiting for the noise to stop.
