These stores are a major rip-off and I know I'm not the first to be had. It seems the only good service was from the sales staff, but obviously they do a good job at taking your money. I was quoted 4 to 6 weeks and my furiture took over 4 months to be delivered. On the day of delivery (which was set for 9am-11am) the delivery truck got there at 5pm. after the delivery men brought in the furniture, it was damaged. Large tear in Sofa which would have had to been noticable at the warehouse before delivery.
At this point I didn't want to deal with the company any more, but could not get a refund. They said they would re-order. This took another 2 months (remember we're now looking at 6 months). Delivery was once again late and guess what, the furniture was once again defective with another large rip. The truely frustrating part was that when you phone, no one answers the phone. and if they do they try to pawn it off on another department.
Customer service stinks as well as the product. Be warned! Like I stated, I'm not the only one who has been ripped off by this company.
Not even the owners Stan and Ella West would return my calls or emails.
Please if you have been ripped off by Furniture Direct, post here and at least have a voice. It is well worth it.
