I called the local news station and was instructed to call the police... which I did. I am taking all of the info I recieved in the mail to the station tomorrow so the detectives can start an investigation. I have no idea how these people got my address, but I'm thankful that I thought to investigate this on my own before I tried to cash the check. I will admit that the check is "cashable", watermarks and all. I want everyone to know about this scam so we can put them behind bars!
