Award Winning Notification - check for $2, 990.00 Ripoff

I just receive this letter & check also. This came to my business address. The letter is worded as follows:

RE: FINAL AWARD WINNING NOTIFICATION

We are pleased to inform you through this letter that our network shows you as the lucky winner of unclaimed prize money in the amount of Eighty Five Thousand dollars ($85, 000.00) in United States funds. The system indicates that your name was randomly selected through a computerized ballot system as a winner for the 2007 sweepstakes draws. Congratulations!

All Participants were selected through a computerized ballot system drawn from Readers Digest, Publishers Clearing House, online sweepstakes, Internet games etc

Enclosed, please find a check of $2, 990.00 which covers both the administrative payments and clearance fees of your winnings. For authorizing & processing of your prize please contact your North American agent, Mrs. Susan Francoeur, upon receipt of this letter, at 1-705-350-0096. Your winnings must be claimed no later than Friday April, 7th 2007 by 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.

Your name is attached to a claim number US/CA-04/07-XXXX. we ask that you keep your claim number confidentialy secured until your claim is processed and funds remitted as this is part of our security protocol.

I am so glad I looked this up and found this site with so many others who had received the same thing. I did not try to cash this check in fear they would gain access to my bank account numbers. I tried to call the phone number listed and speak with the agent, but like others have stated it goes to voice mail and the box if full. What a scam! It also has the check listed from Morgan Stanley, so I will try to contact them on Monday and see if they need any information regarding this. I will also check the Better business Bureau as well. Please be aware!
