December of 2004 I purchased 2 Heys 40" duffel bags from downtown luggage that were advertised as their most durable product and came with a 5 year Heys warranty.
Within a few months the cross strap of one bag and the shoulder strap of the other pulled out. I contacted Heys International, http://heys.ca, and they instructed me to contact Heys USA there US subsidiary.
Heys USA did not respond to numerous emails/phone calls over several weeks. I then contacted Downtown Luggage, downtownluggage.com, in hopes that their relationship with their supplier would result in the replacement of my defective luggage.
Downtown Luggage issued an RMA number and I returned the merchandise to Downtown Luggage only to receive my package back "return to sender." Downtown Luggage and ewholesaleluggage.com, formerly Heys USA, are both located in Miami, FL.
As such, I am led to believe it is a collaborative fraud. Heys USA has 3 unanswered fraud complaints with the Better Business Bureau. I have subsequently left two messages with Heys International that have gone unreturned. Stay away from this fraud ring!!!
