During the last few days my finances apartment/housing board has been infested with bed bugs, instead of giving a 24 hours notice as should through the legal system, they instead enetered the his room intruding in his privacy and stealing his belongings. I say steal because they refuse to give back his belongings until he has written a note claiming back every individual peice, and whos to say he'll be able to rememeber or know all the things that were taken. Also before giving back the bed supplied to him, yes they took it from him. The day of the 'invasion' my finance had to stop by his place to get his work boots to have professional pesticide sprayers praying the room, where his caged animal was in, keep in mind they are spraying pure poision, and never thought to remove the animal, if he had never returned to his room his animal would now be dead. The landlord had claimed that after he returned from work, 10 oclock that night, it would be safe to sleep in. 10:30 that night he returned to his bed exhausted from school and work, to find he didn't even have a bed, and the majority of his clothes missing.
My finance has been calling all day to get a hold of the landlord to see if he would have a bed tonight, seeing as how legally they should already be accomadating him and his other housingmates that have been victimized, and when he was reach the landlord would not allow my fiance to complete a sentence without interupting him for well over five minutes, and when he was able to respond he gave a assertive front, clearly showing how he was wronged without shouting or being rude. However, the landlord being possibly three times the age of my fiance could be heard yelling and near threatening him, also hanging up on him twice.
When he went to his bedroom to post a note given written permission to enter his bedroom to insert a bed, also providing where he was wronged and mistreated, and signatures of all that beared witness, he was harassed by the landlords wife. I did not hear all of it but by the time I got there I saw him being yelled at, so I went in side to support him. Two other tenants were listening in on the conversation, because they too were wronged in this ideal, the wife was yelling at him. I have never been so proud of my fiance all he did was clamly answer and defend himself, all she did was prove what useless landlord she and her husband are. Im sure after this show they will be losing a few tenants. Their names are Kenneth and Jackie Webster, and I have never experience such shameful and disrespectful behavoir. I would hope after reading this experience you will double think moving in a place like this.
