No Refund received, no one answers repeated emails, phone calls

Order a renewal subscription of National Geographic Magazines on July 17, 2011, realized wrong company was contacted. I cancelled the order within 24 hours. The New Magazine City's policy for cancellation is "within 48 hours of placing an order". Therefore I met their policy's ruling. They were to get back to me within 7 to 10 days. No response except for the auto-response when I sent my cancellation order through their website. Today, August 7, 2011 - I still have not heard from this company nor has my refund received. I have called many times and after waiting for two minutes, a recording comes on and say that no-one is available to assist me. Each time I called - I get this recording, I selected all options on the Company's telephone directory but still got the recording that "they are busy, use their website to contact". I sent emails again through their website. I am wondering if this company is legitimate and upon reading other complaints, the company seems to a 'scam'; taking people's money.

I do not recommend using this company to subscribe to any magazines. In my search to find a way to reach them or speak to a live person, I discovered that a lot of people were "taken in" and many people complained that they did not get their refundas well, I got worried. PLUS, the company automatically renewed some peoples' subscription even though they didn't authorized it. Goodness!
