I received a letter from Summit Financial Investments, Inc. and a check for $4700.00 from McAfee, Inc.[ not registered or certified, ] advising me that I was "one of the second catagory winners of a lottery draw of $250, 000" it was called a Compension Draw. The purpose of the check was to pay the GST on the winnings. The letter was from Canada and the check was from Texas. It all looked very official, but I had never entered a lottery that had a lottery number with a letter in it! So I checked out Summit Financial and found out someone else had also received the same letter and check with some other name as tax collector on it? I had my bank check out the check and it was no good! Believe me, you don't get something like a lottery notice and a check without it being sent registered.
