I received an email from a Nick Martin stating that he had reviewed my resume, was impressed, but it was an area he wasn't working in. He asked if I would mind him sending my information to some colleagues of his who worked in my field. They could help me with my job search.
Well as everyone else has mentioned on here - you know the rest of the story. I get a call a few days later and am told I have a meeting with Mr. Fisher.
Something bothered me about this. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but they left out words. They really said nothing about finding me a job - but helping me.
As a job seeker, you often do have many friends, networking for you so you do get some calls and emails - so for a guy with an MBA I was almost fooled.
I did some searching on the net about RD Group and amazing - it is all the same story.
The only difference is - because of this site and the goodness of those sharing their stories, I was able to avoid them.
I called them and cancelled my appointment. There was no question as to why or an attempt to reschedule - which I also found strange - as I had planned on telling them what a crock they are.
As a job hunter, it takes time to go to an 'interview' and it also costs money - cost of gas and parking. Finding out you got shammed or wasted your time - priceless.
I just thought I would chime in here to let you know is is nearing the end of July 2008 and for some reason this place is still in existence and no one has shut them down.
So - that is my experience.
Beware people - there are those that prey on people desparate to find work.
