I received the same letter that so many people receive. The letter comes at a time when you want something good to happen for you that you try to do whatever it takes to gain some financial freedom. It never dawned on me that I was calling a cell phone, especially when my bank said the check had cleared. I was assuming that my bank had checked thoroughy that the funds were available. The check turned out to ce counterfeit. I found this out after I had sent them over 7000.00 for insurance and delivery fees, which I was told I would get back. The bomb came when one of the men said IRS had found out about the "winnings" and demanded that the taxes be paid on the money That they said was 30000.00 to be paid to them, so they could pay IRS and ship the winnings to me. This is where I finally realized I had been scammed. My good reputation with my bank was ruined. They closed my account and placed me on chech systems making it next to impossible to get another bank account.
