Sweepstakes Fraud

Betty C. Bower, Director of Promotions sent me a letter informing me of the release of "The Sweepstakes Wire" held on July 10, 2007. The letter stated my name was attached to a certain ticket number that consequently won in the 2nd category of the draw. And therefore I had been awarded a lump sum of $68, 000.00
Enclosed was a check in the amount of $2, 750.00 to "help facilitate the payment of accounting and clearance fees reagarding the prize."

To begin the prize claim I was to phone a claims agent at 780 708-5172. No one answers this phone number.
The bottom of the official-looking letter has the logos of Wal-Mart, Coca Cola, Macys, Safeway and Monte Carlo.
This has scam written all over it.
Do not be fooled.
