I received a check in the mail with a letter stating that I won $82, 000.00 in a lottery sweepstake on June 2 held in Los Vegas, Nevada. The letter said to call this number and speak with a Ms. Christina Fackler.
I made the call and she just happened to answer the phone. I gave her the claim number supplied and she started telling me what I had to do. Deposit the check into my account and wait for it to clear, get the money and then call her back. At that time she said they would assign an advisor and have him pick the money up for administration fees and taxes. Once he picks up the money I will receive my check 24hrs later by mail and would have to sign for it. I asked her to fax me what she just told me and gave her the number, she never faxed anything to me.
I was skeptical and did some checking around, with help from some friends found this web site and to my not being surprised seen what was happening. I then called the bank that the check is drawn on and found out that they have received a number of calls and that the checks was definitely fraudulent.
I was informed that the bank believes that their client is aware of the frauds and there is an alert on the account. Here is the information from the check:
Builder Services Group, Inc., located in Daytona Beach, Fl. The bank is located in Jeannette, PA.
These people need to be stopped and if I can be a help to this, then I am willing to help. I did some research and found out that once you call from one number you can't call them a second time from that number because they won't answer and you get an answer machine that is full and can not take any more messages. Also, tried to call the company listed on the check inwhich was only an automated system.
