I was sent a notice re: award notification- final notice that I was one of six winners of $98, 000. The signer of the letter, congratulated me and enclosed a check for $2, 975 for facilitating the payment of my international taxes and clearance fees.
I deposited my check and it cleared. I thought that the winnings were real. I constantly left messages on the number they sent me to claim my prize. A few days later the check was taken out of my account.
This really does upset me. I actually went out and spent over my budget. Now I am unable to purchase my car, thinking I won $98, 000 to purchase a better car.
I am considering pressing charges on this company.
