I've been trying to break into the sports marketing industry since i graduated. I replied to an ad BOTH on Monster.ca and the Toronto Star for a sports marketing position. I went for my first interview and the "manager" sold the opportunity to me just as I wanted to hear it. I was chosen out of 20 applicants to come in for a second interview for the "sports marketing" position. I thought i finally had my opportunity. HAHAHA. I ended up spending the ENTIRE day (11am-9pm) walking around Orangeville, Ont. going door-to-door with an "account manager" (thats what i was told before my 2nd interview) selling Domino's Pizza coupons. I was even bitten in the ass by a dog from one of the houses that we went to!!! I did not go to college for 3 years to take a door-to-door sales job. It turns out that it wasnt even close to what the "manager" told me the job was about. I live 5 hours away and I wasted my time and money just to follow a door-to-door salesman around. I just hope no one else is as stupid to fall for this trick.
