Worldprofit Inc
Worldprofit Pyramid Scheme, Misrepresentation, Valueless, Pure Ripoff, False Advertising, Lies

The following is a part of the complaint I submitted to the Edmonton (Northern Alberta) BBB.

None of what was represented to me as to what I was purchasing, by "Dr. J. Lant", the CEO of the company, in person, online, which was a - "complete, easy, no special knowledge required, non time consuming, everything done for you, totally complete, Internet Based Home Business" - was delivered as promised by "Dr. J. Lant", in person to me online, in answer to my questions about what was needed (time and technical knowledge).

It is my considered opinion that the company is a typical Pyramid Scheme of the worst kind where only the few at the top stand to receive any financial gain.

A sampling of other's "complains" in this regard are available at this website https://www.usaconsumercomplaints.com/reports/0/249/RipOff0249414.htm

All my calls to the company with questions and/or concerns went unanswered and the only time I was contacted by phone directly by them was when I stopped my Mastercard payments with a threat by them of their taking legal action to get more money from me, which I would welcome. I have given Mastercard the information about my e-mail cancelling my authorization of the company taking any more payments via Mastercard, which they acknowledged recieving, and then ignored my e-mail and processed a payment from Mastercard. Mastercard is currently investigating this matter.

If someone wants to spend over $1200.00 ($99.95 per month) for a "cookie cutter" website, hosted under their name not yours, and a domain name regisered to them not you, which is ALL you actually get by buying their "silver (business) package" (my current website, hosting and domain name cost me approx $100.00 for a YEAR and which I had prior to purchasing from Worldprofit) then go for it. The "24/7" online interactive LIVE sales, which is the "hook" that made me buy is an expensive "option" at added cost, as is virtually EVERYTHING that was promoted by "Dr. J. Lant" as part of what I was buying. An added cost above and beyond the initial $1200.00 "investment" rather than included in it. As for the time element involved, it would take the equivalent of a 40 hr. per week full time job to make a profit and considerable "technical knowledge" about running advertising and computers to be effective. Then, after that, one is more an employee than a "business owner" considering that they pay you a "commision" of 20% of the sales YOU generate for them.

A pure RIPOFF in every aspect of the word. Having spent more than 40 years, very successfully, in (offline) sales and marketing, I have no one to blame that I believed what "Dr. J. Lant" promised me and bought in without "due dilligence". VERY stupid of me. Please don't be as stupid as I was. Believe nothing of what you're told and read everything that's available on their website, especially their policies and what you get. My first clue that it was a ripoff was when I asked for a written account of what I was purchasing (with what was promised in it) and was never given it.

Here is the Worldprofit answer to the BBB to my complaint.

Than you for the opportunity to respond to the unfounded complaint from the above named consumer that we received from you today.

The consumer opted to finance the payment on the package he purchased from our company. In order to place the order he must agree to the terms and conditions of the financing agreement. If he does not agree to the terms and conditions the order screen does not advance and the order cannot be placed. When the order is placed then a copy of the Finance Agreement is also emailed to the customer. He paid a total of $99.95 on a package valued at $1110.56 USD.

The consumer was also provided with a 24 hour member area filled with videos, articles, the boot camp training program, as well as LIVE access to a Sponsor Mentor, and our entire management team for personal assistance. Our login records reveal he logged in only 2 times to access this training and he did not take advantage of the online boot camp training, software, or the LIVE training sessions despite our advice to him. In short, he was not willing to follow the program or use the tools available to him. These services were provided then he refused to make his agreed payments.

With regard to a 30-day money back guarantee, we do not offer this. This customer entered a Finance Agreement for payment over 12 months.

The consumer was advised if he wished to cancel his finance agreement than he is responsible for the cancellation fee. He refused, thus the matter has been referred to a Collections Agency and is now out of our hands.

Pure BS.

Believe me I can hardly wait for this to go to court, at their behest or mine, where I can present the dozens of e-mails from Worldprofit showing all their misrepresentations in them. A pure Pyramid scheme if there ever was one.

One more thing, as I said, I know of most every Marketing Author, quite a few personnally, because of my background and having ghost written or co-authored several known Marketing books with some of the worlds leading experts in marketing myself, and I have never heard of, seen any book by, nor ever heard the name Dr. Jeffery Lant before going to see the Worldprofit site.

I'd like to see what Sandi has to say about THIS complaint.
