Poor policy return

I just bought Cuisinart Espresso Maker on Saturday Jun 4, 2011 for My Sister at Canadian Tire Store NE of Calgary. Sunday afternoon we want to return this machine back to the store, because the quality is not so good, pump is so noisy, and steamer is vibrated so loud. ( we have found out, after followed the show on DVD that came with package showing us how to use and the first water run before use.) The Customer Service Manager had NOT give us the right to refund this machine. He said, only credit back and use that credit for his store only in one year. The reason is, the machine was used, even that was a test run water, after ONLY one day bought it. He even said, Canadian Tires don't have "SATISFACTION POLICY" Bought it, it is yours; like it or not ; happy with quality or not; they don't care!!! I even had called the Customer Services Relation 1-800 numbers at the head office, they had said the same... That is their POLICY!!! Please people out there be aware when buy things at Canadian Tire, otherwise you will ended up like me, had credit from Canadian Tire to buy things from them ONLY!!! things you are not sure about quality and services.
