My wife receive a letter that she was a first place winner and was drawn in worldwide sweepstakes lottery program. And she won $250.000 in a drawing held in Las Vegas, NV. Head office in N. America.
They enclosed a check that looks very authentic for $4.700 to pay insurence fees. And an amount of 10% will be deducted from cash prize to repay fees.
Before cashing the check we must call to confirm that we received letter. If they do not hear from us within two weeks, file will be closed.
Also on the check was from Adlin Construction and the bank is Cathay Bank.
Just from doing some research I was able to determing that this was a scam/ripoff. It is very unfortune to have people like this trying to scam people. I hope they are caught and locked up for a very long time.
