After more than two years of patience and persistence Haldane have been forced by Alberta Government Services to clean up their act. I got a full refund and compensation. Looks like the Feds are after them now. My case file is currently doing the rounds of some other States who are persuing Haldane. My strategy was that I had nothing to loose by sitting back and waitng for justice to take its course. The money had already been spent, and the worst thing that could happen was that I lose the case. No extra money.
Our defence was strong and supported by many peoples annecdotal evidence and my own personal experience which reflects everything that is stated on this website. If its happened to you then it happened to me. My advice is to get intouch with your local trading standards authority and get them to help you. The final irony of it all is that my resume is still on the web. I had an email from Haldane stating how they could help me find a new career blah blah blah. My response follows:
I have just successfully sued your company for malpractice in Alberta. I suggest you think strongly before emailing me with phoney promises again. I am quite happy to persue yet another case through the court procedure if necessary and take more money from you.
Dont these cretins learn from there mistakes!
