This roofing company (First Roof Response) is in the business of ripping off the small guy. I run a small haul & construction site clean-up business. I have done two jobs for (Chuck), owner of First roof response. The total for the two jobs together is $362.96, past due 34 days on one, and past due 48 days on the other. I have made several attempts to collect and (Chuck) always has a story.
I am only doing this report to alert home owners of the seriousness to this matter. As a sub-trade I can legally put a lien on the home, or building that the work was done on until the debt is satisfied. In this case First Roof Response has been notified via E-mail, and message left on his voice mail. He seems to not care as he has not addressed this issue with me at all.
So needless to say I am going to put liens on two buildings tomorrow, it is unfortunate that the home owners have to be involved. But is is up to the home owner to hire a competent, and responsible contractor. Which did not happen in this case. It is only $362.96 owing but how many other guys has he not paid... I wonder.
