We went to go buy furniture, couches and coffee tables on August 14, 2005 and we were going to do lay-away but we recieved constant calls to do financing. After all the hig pressure tactics of the constant pohne calls we finally aggreed to do the financing. Once we signed the papers they igonred us. THis was on August 21, 2005 when we signed all the papers for the financing.
First, and we have it in writing, they said they would deliver the firniture the next day. The day of the supposed delivery I got a call for confirmation of delivery. An hour later the salesman said that they delivered the couches to other customers instead of us. I told them I wanted to speak with the manager and then we got the run around. THey said they would call me but they never did, I had to call them.
The salesman told us to return to the store and choose other furniture and we'd get a discount. I ask what kind of discount they were talking about, and he said he first had to talk to his manager. After he came back to me with an answer of no discount was available. Since we liked the furniture so much we agreed to go ahead and wait until they would get the furniture we wanted in stock again.
They told us that the furniture would arrive in the middle of Septmeber and then never heard from them. Since they never called us we had to call them. They then told us that the delivery would have to wait AGAIN until the week of Sept. 26-29 and the furniture would be delivered to us then.This is the store and regional manager I was dealing with now.
We were so patient. After waiting taht long we thought what's another week of waiting. We just want to get it over with and have our nice couches.
I called them on Sept. 26 and they said, the furniture would for sure arrive first thing on Sept.30. I asked what would happen if they didn't arrive, they said it would and not to worry about that. The assistant manager told me that he would call me first thing on the 30th. Once again they neer did so I called.
When I called them they said that the furniture is not going to arrive until the middle of next week. Yet again we had been lied to. I asked to speak with the Disctrict manager.
When I spoke with the District manager he was extremely rude to me. I was told to just wait for the furniture and stop calling. When i tried to explain the situation and how I'm never called back he antagonized me to cancel the order. After all of this, this was the easiest thing for them, eventhough they had given us no cutomer service. This guy was the rudest of all of them. I would have cancelled a long time ago but we love the couches we bought and can't seem to find them anywhere else.
Through this whole experience, the people I was dealing with at the store, which ranged from just the sales rep all the way to the top, the district manager. All of them, all they wanted to do was get me off the line as fast as possible telling me lies.
They say they would call me back, they never did. They were all rude, and now that I had already purchased the furniture, they move on to their next victim. I can't emphasise how badly they treated us. They are the worst.
My patience has run out but I don't know what I can do. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB but I really don't know what good it's going to do. I really wish there was something else I could do.
