A company in Alberta calls an individual in Ontario to sell a vehicle? About a week after listing our vehicle in the web and autotrader, we were contacted by a Christine and told about firstchoiceautofinder.com as being an agency with an interested buyer. We were told ther was a $200 fee and the agency was a huge business all over canada. We have since found out it is a scam and a rip off.
They take your money and post your ad on there website and that is it. There iis nothing criminal about taking your money so if you want to sue in small cclaims court you have to drive 3000 kms. Who is going to drive 3000kms for $200?
Apparently this is going on in other provinces including Ontario. Then albertans have to drive to ontario to go to small claims court.
This is a scam. Why give your money to someone who is 3000kms away from your vehicle. They tell you they have a buyer and then all they do is list your vehicle on there site.
I wish this was ilegal but I guess it is not. I am tired of getting ripped of by scam artists.
