I recieved a letter stating that I have won $125, 000.00 and a check for $4, 875.00 from Star Capitol Securities Inc. It said to call Mrs. Carol Armstrong at 1-416-876-7797 before depositing the check into my bank account.
She told me that the $4, 875.00 check was part of my winnings with the sole purpose of paying the applicable Government Taxes.
I returned her call and she gave me the name and address of Mr. Larry Kingston, 144 Main Street, Ottawa, Canada KFT-3B1, in which I was to send $2, 975.00 out of the $4, 875.00 to pay Federal taxes.
She told me to call her back after sending the $2, 975.00, via Western Union, to Mr. Larry Kingston. I did not send the money because I wanted the check to clear first because I did not have the necessary funds in my account.
I then decided to check the company out on the web, only to find out that it was all a scam. I have never been so angry and upset in my life!
I'm in debt right now and this was like a God sent. I feel that these people should be made to pay the sweepssteaks money ($125, 000.00) to all the people to whom they have sent this scam to.
