This is to let people know that there is a new scam it is called a personal loan scam. My husband and I were scamed out of 2, 700 dollars by a company that was called Tribute financial group I got a call after appling on line for personal loans. I got a call from a women claming to be Terri Hilton she said that we were aproved for a personal loan for 8, 000 and an intrest rate 7% for a 4yr term.
They said that I had to send an insurance payment of 1, 147.20 and this was suppose to be in case we could not make our payment for any reason and then we had to western union the money to maple ontario they said after that was done and they verifed that they would wire the fund to my checking account. Well we did and there was no money so then I talked to a guy that called himself thomas cook he said he was the manager. He said that we had to pay the broker fee and the closing cost and then they would wire the money so we did and the money never came they asked us for ss#dr#a paycheck stub and current bill.
please people be careful they are really good they are very convincing. they will take your money and run please be very carful. Don't let this happen to you. The loan docs are only 6 pages and they only ask you to sign 2 pages and fax it back. the fax # is the same as the phone # The documents are the same for all DON'T DO IT YOU WILL LOSE OUT LIKE US AND OTHERS.
Lets bring these people down and to justice.
